AIB Merchant Services (www.aibms.com) is pleased to announce the appointment of Nigel Motyer to the position of General Manager of AIBMS.   

Nigel Motyer takes up his new position at AIB Merchant Services (AIBMS) which incorporates AIB (GB) Merchant Services and First Trust Merchant Services, with immediate effect.

Nigel said: "I am delighted to have the opportunity to lead AIBMS in becoming an even stronger organisation and further developing the relationship with our customers. With the continued switch from cash and cheques to cards and the growth of ecommerce, we have significant opportunities to further develop the business.”

Nigel has a wealth of experience in the card payment services, having held a number of senior roles during his 25 year career in banking. He focused on the acquiring business in the last 10 years and was part of the management team that created the AIBMS joint venture with First Data.

Over the next few months, Nigel will lead and align the strategic efforts of the business, working with the key stakeholders to ensure the continued success of AIBMS.
