Bank Taps First Data’s Fraud Management System to Boost Security for Cardholders
WARSAW June 27, 2011 – First Data Corporation, a global leader in electronic commerce and payment processing, today announced the extension and expansion of its cooperation with Polish financial institution Alior Bank.
The new five-year agreement builds on the successful collaboration between the two parties, which began when Alior Bank was established in 2008. First Data will continue to provide card personalisation and issuing services, manage the bank's card database and perform transaction authorisations and settlement. In addition, First Data will implement its Proactive Risk Manager fraud management system to meet the bank's demand for effective fraud management.
Proactive Risk Manager identifies and alerts financial institutions to card transaction irregularities helping them to prevent fraudulent transactions and offer their credit card customers increased security.
Alior Bank is one of the newest and fastest-growing banks in Poland. Its collaboration with First Data, an established provider of outsourcing services to banks in Poland, is intended to deliver the highest quality of services to the bank's customers.
