WARSAW, September 6, 2011 – First Data Corporation, a global leader in electronic commerce and payment processing, has announced that it has signed an agreement with Marriott Hotel Warsaw, one of the leading hotels in Poland. Under the terms of the agreement First Data will install mobile and stationary terminals at the hotel and provide card processing and settlement services.

First Data’s modern and feature-rich point-of-sale terminals will enable hotel guests to benefit from value adding services such as Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC). DCC allows visitors to pay for goods and services in the currency of their card account, which offers several advantages. For example, it significantly simplifies the settlement of travel expenses, as it gives cardholders the opportunity to see the transaction amount that will be debited to their account in a familiar currency, immediately at the point of sale.

“The comfort of our guests during their stay at the hotel is our priority,” said Albert Helis, General Manager of Marriott Hotel Warsaw. “We offer them professional service, luxurious suites, well-equipped conference rooms and an extensive range of dishes in our restaurants. An important part of our quality policy is providing convenient and technologically advanced solutions for card payments. We trust First Data in this regard and believe that with First Data’s experience and professionalism we will be successful.”

“It is a great honour to cooperate with a merchant of the calibre of Marriott Hotel,” said Janusz Diemko, Managing Director of First Data in Poland. “The majority of the hotel’s guests are foreigners, who use cards regularly. Our aim is to meet their expectations and offer the highest levels of service.”
