Warsaw, October 26, 2010 – First Data Corporation , a global leader in electronic commerce and payment processing, has signed an agreement with Ikano Bank GmbH to support the bank's expanding Polish business. First Data will provide personalization, issuing and processing services for Ikano Bank's most important partnership card portfolio, the Mastercard-badged IKEA FAMILY credit card. To realise its strategy, Ikano Bank carefully selected providers of modern and complex services. Working with First Data enables the bank to leverage leading credit card processing technology.

Ikano Bank was formed by IKEA, the furnishing retailer. Since 1988 it has operated as an independent financial services group providing solutions in the areas of asset management, finance, insurance, real estate and retail across Europe and Asia. Ikano entered the Polish market in July 2010 and will promote its loans and credit card products in IKEA stores.
