Istanbul, April 21, 2010 – First Data Corporation , a global leader in electronic commerce and payment processing, has announced that it has appointed Levend Iskit as managing director of its business in Turkey. Levend Iskit will be responsible for First Data’s sales and customer relationships across the country.

Mr. Iskit combines extensive experience in the technology and payments industries with a strong background in sales. He began his career at NCR in Turkey and over a 10 year period worked in a range of product sales and management roles within the company’s Finance and Central and Eastern Europe business divisions, later taking responsibility for NCR business units in Russia and Turkey. In 2001, Iskit joined Hewlett Packard in Turkey, where he led sales of various products and solutions for the financial services industry.

Mr. Iskit is a graduate of Bogazici (Bosphorus) University’s department of mechanical engineering and holds a master’s degree in international business management from Istanbul University.

Since establishing its regional offices in Istanbul in 2007, First Data has grown its business in Turkey and today offers an extensive range of payment solutions to meet the needs of local and regional banks, financial institutions and retailers. In November 2009 the company announced an ATM deployment agreement with TEB-BNP Paribas through which it will create a new 1,250-strong ATM network, spanning retail locations in major cities across Turkey.
