Process transactions initiated in multiple countries with just one processor.
Instead of dealing with processors around the world, Multi-Currency service provided by First Data allows you to more easily process transactions almost anywhere you do business.
Merchants with multiple locations abroad need a solution to support their operations and the ability to sell goods and services in the currencies of their choice and their customers' home currencies. Traditionally, conducting business in multiple countries and currencies resulted in more complex payment processing. Each currency in which merchants did business required a different processor to complete transactions for each currency, resulting in multiple price points. This fragmentation could also increase fraud costs and material losses.
It’s never been easier to sell goods and services in the currency of your merchant's choice. The Multi-Currency service consolidates the number of processors into a single contact with global scope. First Data offers a single point of integration, reducing the expense of dealing with regional payment processors and increasing the range of payment products you accept and the services you offer.
How It Works
Merchants send payment authorization requests to our U.S.-based front end in a single format through a single telecommunications link, for global payment types and across numerous countries. First Data routes the authorizations to the appropriate payment network and sends responses back. Merchants then send the settlement file, which First Data processes appropriately based on country of origin.
