Adam Rosman is Executive Vice President and General Counsel for First Data, a role he assumed October 2014. A member of the company’s Management Committee, Rosman oversees First Data’s in-house attorneys and outside counsel, as well as manages all legal and regulatory matters.
Prior to joining First Data, Rosman served as the Group General Counsel for the Willis Group. In that position Rosman was responsible for legal, corporate secretary, compliance, and audit and risk management. He joined Willis in 2009 and also served three years as the company’s Deputy Group General Counsel, responsible for Willis’ worldwide legal operations.
Before joining Willis, Rosman was Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Cablevision Systems Corporation in Bethpage, NY, and before that he was a partner at the Washington D.C.-based law firm of Zuckerman Spaeder LLP, where he advised public companies and senior executives on a range of topics, including Sarbanes-Oxley.
Between 1999 and 2003, Rosman was an Assistant United States Attorney in Washington, D.C., where he prosecuted a wide range of matters. He also worked in 2000-2001 as Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy Staff Secretary for President Clinton. He is a graduate of Stanford Law School and Union College, where he graduated magna cum laude and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He has lectured extensively as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center.
