Andrew Gelb joined First Data in October 2014 as the Executive Vice President, Head of Financial Services. A core segment of First Data, Financial Services includes credit and debit card issuing solutions, statements, card production, lockbox and online banking, among other services. The business supports more than 4,000 financial institution clients as well as their respective 700 million credit/debit card consumers. Gelb is a direct report to CEO Frank Bisignano and a member of the Management Committee.

Before joining First Data, Gelb had a distinguished global career at Citi where he held a variety of roles, most recently as the Managing Director and Head of North America Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) business.  Citi’s TTS business is a leading provider of banking services such as Payments, Collections, Liquidity & Investments, Commercial and Prepaid Cards, Trade Finance and Trade Services to Corporates, Financial Institutions and Governments worldwide.

Gelb also held key roles in Citi’s Securities and Fund Services (SFS) business, including the Head of the SFS business in EMEA and the Head of the Direct Custody business globally. Gelb has also been the Head of Strategy and Planning for Citi’s Transaction Services Business and the Cash Management Head at Citi in Japan. Gelb joined Citi in 1997 and spent his first two years rotating through several businesses in Nigeria, Indonesia, Singapore, New Zealand and the USA.

Gelb earned his MBA at Cornell University and his BA at Oberlin College.
