How do I connect to the First Data Secure Transport Network API?

A benefit of the First Data Secure Transport Network is the ability to use any public Internet connection, such as DSL, cable, satellite, corporate LAN/VPN or dial-up. Always on broadband Internet connections or persistent dial-up connections are best suited as they permit rapid transaction delivery. No special purpose connections or routers are required; the PC POS or IP-capable terminal simply connects to an available port on the store router. If you use a non-IP capable system, Secure Transport provides various legacy device converters, both software and hardware based, to enable the benefits of IP connectivity for these types of POS devices.
