First Data Honored with Visa Service Quality Performance Awards

ATLANTA, June 6, 2014 – For the fourth consecutive year, First Data Corporation, the global leader in payment technology and services solutions, has been honored as a Visa 2013 Service Quality Performance Award Winner. First Data was recognized in the multinational high volume issuer-processors category for “lowest assured transaction rate” and “lowest transaction response time.” Both awards acknowledge First Data’s ability to quickly process authorization requests by Visa customers, contributing to both fraud protection and cardholder and merchant satisfaction.

The Lowest Assured Transaction Rate award recognizes issuer processors that respond to authorization requests in a timely manner, preventing the diversion of transactions to Visa stand-in processing. The Lowest Transaction Response Time award recognizes issuer processors that respond to authorization requests quickly, contributing to cardholder and merchant satisfaction.
The Visa Service Quality Awards were established in 1992 to recognize exceptional card operations performance by issuers, acquirers and processors.
