2012 First Data Prepaid Employee Incentive Card Study

While general use of prepaid gift cards is predicted to rise steadily, their use as corporate gifts and incentives showed a slight decrease in 2011. Research indicates this trend is a reflection of corporate budgets, not a declining appetite for prepaid gift or incentive cards. This paper provides merchants with insights into the corporate employee incentive card market, as well as strategies for capturing a larger share of a slightly smaller market—and preparing for future increases in corporate spending.
