Perspective: First Data Wins Best Prepaid Consumer Program at Prepaid Awards Canada

Prepaid Awards Canada celebrated innovation and best practice within the prepaid industry with its inaugural ceremony on June 7th 2012. First Data won Best Prepaid Consumer Program for its prepaid program with Tim Hortons in Canada.

Some highlights of the program:

The program began in 2007 as a way to update and upgrade an already widely popular paper certificate program to a spending card with technology, features and conveniences not experienced with paper. The goal was to acknowledge the dedicated consumer base with a spending card that was reloadable and easy to use. Tim Hortons’ customers have embraced the card and it has grown each year since its launch. As we move forward, we are looking at ways to improve the program and find new ways to engage with customers. An example of this is the recent launch of a mobile balance inquiry capability.

This is a big achievement for First Data and our prepaid program with Tim Hortons. Congratulations on this great industry recognition!
