Just how important is the mobile phone? We were curious, so we asked nearly 4,000 people in 10 countries about the first thing they do in the morning. Do they brush their teeth? Check their computer or their mobile phone for news and email? Grab a cup of coffee or tea? Turn on the TV?
In our research, we’re happy to see that good dental hygiene edges out checking the mobile phone in the United States, but only barely. Checking the mobile phone is the second thing people do in the morning. But 38% of US Millennials check their mobile phone first, along with the largest segment of consumers in China, the Middle East, India and Mexico.
