Guy Chiarello is president of First Data Corporation. He joined the company on July 8, 2013. As a member of the Management Committee, Guy focuses on innovation, product development and technological systems, helping First Data elevate them all to world-class standards. His role is to engage customers and business leaders to create and enhance the many new solutions First Data plans to bring to market.
Most recently, Guy was the chief information officer at JPMorgan Chase, where he had firm wide responsibility for technology across seven lines of business in more than 60 countries. As CIO at JPMorgan, he oversaw a vast infrastructure and drove innovation, helping the bank launch a highly successful suite of digital banking platforms, including the award-winning Chase Mobile App Suite, which grew its customer base to more than 10 million users in just a couple years.
Guy is well known by CEOs within and outside financial services, and by leaders in technology companies across the world, particularly in Silicon Valley and other hubs of innovation. He is a trailblazer in both business and technology in the financial services industry and brings more than 30 years of proven and deep expertise to First Data. Guy personally has been recognized multiple times by Institutional Investor magazine among its “Tech 50” and by Information Week as a “Global CIO Top 50,” and is considered a key advisor by many of the leading technology company CEOs in the industry.
Guy has forged leading-edge partnerships with top U.S. universities, most notably Syracuse University and the University of Delaware. He is a graduate and a decorated alumnus of the College of New Jersey, where he earned his Bachelor of Science. Guy serves on the executive advisory boards for a number of the major leading technology companies. He also serves as an executive committee member or advisor to a number of nonprofits, including NPower, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and Per Scholas.
