ShopKeep to integrate its POS software with First Data’s Clover® platform
New collaboration highlights the openness of the Clover platform
NEW YORK, FEBRUARY 16, 2017– First Data (NYSE: FDC), a global leader in commerce-enabling technology, and ShopKeep, a cloud-based technology solution that transforms an iPad into a smart, connected cash register, announced a new partnership that expands their existing relationship. ShopKeep is the latest software developer to integrate with First Data’s Clover® platform as part of First Data’s recently-announced Integrated Solutions Group.
First Data will make ShopKeep’s POS software available through First Data’s vast distribution network including major bank partners, retail partners, and its network of independent sales organizations. In addition, ShopKeep will incorporate First Data’s payment processing and security tools, as well as the Clover Go® software developer kit (SDK) and the Clover hardware portfolio as its strategic infrastructure. The Clover product family includes a suite of sleekly-designed devices that accept a wide range of payment types, including EMV, NFC, and mag stripe transactions.
First Data’s Integrated Solutions Group is focused on enhancing the company’s engagement with software developers across the payments ecosystem, and making it easier for developers to integrate their solutions with First Data. ShopKeep will utilize Clover’s Platform-as-a-Service, integrating ShopKeep’s best-in-class software with the Clover platform.
As a long-standing First Data partner, ShopKeep is a natural fit to extend First Data’s offerings within the Clover environment. ShopKeep’s POS solution, featuring inventory tracking, employee management, and detailed reporting is built for the millions of businesses First Data works with every day.
